This drill is a short, quick toss straight to the other hand. Throw the ball low across the center and catch it where that hand rests naturally. Use mainly your forearm and wrist, keeping your elbows relaxed by your sides and your shoulders still. Look straight ahead to see the whole path in your peripheral vision instead of following the ball with your eyes. Alternate directions, either pausing after each throw or continuing without stopping. The aim is to get used to the ball and its weight while making the same quick toss with either hand. This builds accuracy in a fast crossing throw and a feel for the right moment to release. If you can repeat it with your eyes closed, you have mastered the exercise.
